Town Councillor, Bradford on Avon North

AlisonPotter

Alison came to Bath in 1973 to study Architecture and has lived in this area ever since, moving to Bradford on Avon, with her husband John, in 1992. Their three children attended Christ Church Primary School and then St Laurence. They have both been involved for many years with local events and organisations.

Alison says “My main interest is in the Arts and I have been involved in various art projects in the town over the years.  I organised the Sculpture Trail as part of the Bradford on Avon Arts Festival, which was held in our previous garden at Wellclose House for several years.

“For the last year or so I have also been working with a group of people who are hoping to keep the old Golf Course as a green space. The aim is to raise enough money to buy it and hand it over to a charity like the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust to maintain as a public open space.

“I hope to continue to help run and organise further community events in the town as a councillor, if elected.”
