Bradford on Avon Liberal Democrats have announced that Sarah Gibson will be the party’s candidate for Bradford South.

Sarah Gibson is the sitting Wiltshire Councillor for Bradford South, elected in May 2017. She now intends to seek election to the town council in order to consolidate the work that she’s already doing with the town council in areas such as town development, highways and transport.

Sarah has an architectural practice just off the Frome Road, Bradford. After attending Ralph Allen School, Sarah studied at University College, London and then set up an architectural practice in Spain, where her business still has an office, close to Barcelona. In 2012, she moved to Bradford, where she now lives and works.

Sarah is a member of BoA Business, Bradford on Avon Women’s 100, Streets Ahead and the Preservation Trust.

Commenting, Sarah said:

“My technical background in managing large building and urban design projects is proving very useful in helping to get the strategic ideas moving and to ensure solutions are implemented.

“Many of the issues that affect the town require a coordinated Town Council and Wiltshire Council solution. As an elected Town Councillor, I would be able to play a fuller part in helping the town achieve its objectives through joined up thinking.”
